KARRYAK® Pioneering Sea Kayak is the first modular, carbon fibre, sea kayak, designed and built as a set of monocoque sections for strength and ease of handling, and is a step change in design, functionality, and user experience with an array of innovative features.

KARRYAK® was born out of a simple desire to make a performance, composite, comfortable sea kayak that could be easily and safely carried, transported, and stored.

KARRYAK® Pioneering Sea Kayaks are specifically designed for world-wide travel.

The outstanding feature of KARRYAK® is that it is modular for ease of carrying and transporting. Made in 5 sections, each one a monocoque, KARRYAK® sea kayaks are designed to function as one-piece sea kayaks on the water, but when on land can be taken apart in up to 5 sections.

Once assembled, KARRYAK® is a high-performance, one-piece sea kayak and touring kayak, with many new and innovative features that set it apart from every other sea kayak on the market. Additionally, our pioneering use of pre-impregnated carbon fibre and our unique modular monocoque design make KARRYAK® a true innovation in sea kayak construction.

There are 3 patents granted on KARRYAK® ; the joint mechanism that holds the 5 sections together, the foot-operated rudder & rkeg mechanism and the profiled hatch lids with O-ring seals and retainers.

Every element of a sea kayak has been scrutinised, designed, re-designed, improved, or simply eliminated.

Sea kayak designs per se have been handed down for centuries, with incremental modifications morphing them from traditional Inuit craft into today’s wide range of sea kayaks.

We have protected the main ideas, designs and concepts that pertain to the key elements of KARRYAK® sea kayaks and hand powered watercraft. There are 3 patents granted, 10 registered designs granted, and 2 trademarks protecting the KARRYAK® brand, ideas, designs and concepts, stretching across UK, EU and USA.

Designers and manufacturers are encouraged to engage with us and licence these concepts for use and inclusion in their hand powered watercraft (sea kayaks, kayaks, canoes, SUPs, rowing boats etc).
